Occupation: Thief, Cat Burglar, Survivor
About: Edmond, as he likes to think, is one of the head figures of the Parisean Underworld, a roi de pègre, if not of the streets above as well. He has been growing up in the city all his life and consideres it his sole home. He knows every nook and cranny, above, on, and below ground and takes special pride in his knowledge of all the subterrainian Paris, the catacombes. He might be young, but he has seen much in his life, violence, betrayal, injustice. He fights for survival, but he has learned to do it with a sort of debonnaire elegance that has become his trade mark.
Him and Renée are friends for life, ever since he saved her from The Rattlesnake all those years ago (9, but who's counting ^^) and took her under his wing. They are partners in crime and siblings in sorrow and even if he'd rat out the whole world, her he would not and vice versa.
With them both growing up, I'll leave it up to us both and their dynamic, whether or not friendship might deepen into a one-sided or two-sided crush. It's an option, but certainly not a requirement.
I am totally open with him either joining into the revolution, with the Sacred Heart or whomever you think may fit, as long as him and Renée keep in touch

Age: Unknown
Occupation: Assassin, Sadist
About: No one knows where he came from, but for some years now, over a decade even, the Rattlesnake has become one of the hardest banes of Paris. He is known to appear out of the shadows, without warning, cornering his victims and unnerving them by rattling a razor blade over any metal grid or rail he can find. Only when his victims are scared witless, knowing it is him, he will approach and strike.
Fairly seldomly, he lets someone escape to spread the tale. A special 'type' he hunts for could never be established, he kills the rich as well as the poorest. Those who have nothing to lose or are very sure of themselves might seek him out to ask for a special kill, but the Rattlesnake's service always comes with a price …
Police has yet failed to bring him to justice, because he is careful never to let anyone see his face. Some say he wears a mask, but that may be fable mixed with reality. Only one thing is certain: as of yet, The Rattlesnake is here to stay, instilling fear into every citizen of Paris who is still in his right mind.
