Easthaven, Maine was once a peaceful normal town. it was thriving and everything about life seemed perfect. That is until about 10 years ago. Scientists were creating a way to erase Alzheimers and other brain diseases. They were using a man made bacteria that was supposed to be the ultimate cure...but something went horribly wrong. This bacteria began mutating and changing and therefore growing. They couldn't control it anymore and it escaped into the town spreading from every corner imaginable.
but, it seemed to only effect the canines of the town. some of the humans were immune, while others contracted it causing them to go mad and ultimately mutate themselves. this bacteria that infected the canines caused them to mutate too. their whole DNA changed and was rearranged giving them strange and bizarre abilities. And in some instances, even changed their whole diet. Some have turned to cannibalism, others have remained normal in that aspect. No breed or species were safe. It effected foxes, coyotes, jackals, hyenas and much more. some of these species have even come to town. Those humans that became infected were shipped off somewhere but some escaped and ran underground. Those that remained immune continue their daily lives, but with the fear of their own pets. The military ended up quarantining the town. No one gets in and no one gets out. There is a curfew for the humans as well to keep them safe...but are they really?
Here the canines rule the town but they co exist with their humans. At night is when the town truly belongs to the canines. Do you have what it takes?
