Hi! I'm Kinsey, I'm 29 going on 7 going on 40 going on 16. I'm easily excitable and like people (most of the time).
I like a lot of things and have a lot of interests. I'm a comic book geek, I'm a fanfic geek, I love Star Trek and Buffy, I've been writing for as long as I can remember and, like Beck, want to be a published author *crosses fingers*. I have a lot of outlets for creativity, and I'm learning how to code because that is what I have (finally) decided I want to do with my life.
I've been RPing since 2008, and got started on a Stargate site. I tend to be character-focused as a writer, rather than plot-focused. I'm always trying to grow as a writer and an RPer, and if there's ever anything you think I should be doing to grow, feel free to let me know! Worst case scenario, I disagree but try it anyway and it doesn't work, best case scenario, you're spot on and you really help me out! There is pretty much no lose there.
I'm usually pretty happy and cheerful, and I am pretty much the most easy going person you will ever meet about a lot of things (though I am opinionated, I'll admit that).
Mentioning this because it came up in the app: I'm genderqueer, feel free to ask about it, I answer to any pronouns and it's hard to offend me. That being said, it's really not a big deal to me, I am what I am, I am who I am, and my gender doesn't even come close to defining that.

EVERYONE should be a die-hard Buffy fan. In all seriousness, Buffy was something my dad and I used to do together, so it'll always have a special place in my heart (plus it was REALLY FREAKING GOOD), and it was my introduction to fanfic. I'm excited to be on the site, and I adore Eponine, so I'm really glad she was available. There are some characters that I have definitive headcanons on, and 'Nine is one of them for me, so I kind of can't help but side-eye some versions of her.

Hello there. It's a pleasure to meet you!
You're a Star Trek fan? YAY! Do you prefer any particular series? I tend to be an Original Series fan-girl simply because I have an unhealthy love of cheese..... and tribbles. Tribbles bring me so much joy.

I am indeed! I like TOS a lot, don't get me wrong, but I adore TNG, because Patrick Stewart. And I totally had a crush on Wesley, shhhhh (not on Will Wheaton, though, I don't know why). I liked Voyager a lot, but I recognize the problems with it, and I never saw a single episode of Enterprise. I liked what I saw of DS9, but that, unfortunately, wasn't a lot. I also really liked most of Babylon 5, didn't get to see any Battlestar Galactica other than the first two episodes of the reboot, love Doctor Who (I've read books from Classic Who and listened to a lot of the audio episodes, but haven't really seen any episodes, but I've seen all New Who up to Clara's introduction, and Nine and Ten are my doctors and I'm unapologetic about this), and I love Firefly and still curse Fox. In short, I really love sci-fi. I have a tribble! Somewhere...
